Waterford Highlights

Among Waterford's many heritage buildings is the former Waterford and Townsend Township town hall. Built in 1902, the structure is being restored by the Old Town Hall Association (OTHA). OTHA sponsors many local events in aid of the project. Visit the association's web site to see what's happening next.

Each October, Waterford is host to Pumpkinfest, our Fall Festival. Homes are decorated; a first class parade is held; midway rides and attractions are available and family fun is enjoyed by upwards of 100,000 visitors to our community. The Waterford Lakes attract sport fishing enthusiasts from all around the area. Easily accessible by road, the "ponds", as they are known locally, are a favourite spot for both smallmouth and largemouth bass.

Norfolk County is noted for it's rich sandy loam soil and prosperous farms. Tobacco, ginseng, fruit and cash crops are grown extensively throughout the area.

A few minutes walk from nearly anywhere in Waterford and you have access to a large network of trails for hiking, snowmobiling or off-road driving.
